Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 18, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using Canora, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Canora ("Canora", "we", "us"). By creating an account, ticking the agreement box at sign-up, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Canora.

2. What Canora is

Canora is a planning tool that lets you create savings goals, record contributions, and see estimated timelines for when a goal may be reached. It is intended to help you visualise and plan toward financial goals.

3. Not financial advice

Canora does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. All forecasts, projections, best/worst-case ranges, and calculator outputs are estimates based on the figures you enter and assume a constant rate of return. Real-world results will differ and are not guaranteed. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting on any information from Canora.

4. Your account

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not: break any law; attempt to access, alter or delete data belonging to other users; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service; interfere with or disrupt the service; or scrape or copy the service other than as normally permitted by a browser.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the information you enter (your goals, contributions, notes). You grant Canora a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that information solely to operate and provide the service to you (and, for shared goals, to the people you invite).

7. Shared goals

If you share a goal, the people you invite can view that goal's details and contributions and add their own contributions. Only invite people you trust with that information. You are responsible for the invitations you send.

8. Plans and payments

Canora offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan. Pricing is shown in the app and paid subscriptions may still be in development. When paid plans are enabled, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) under their terms; Canora does not store your card details. Prices and plan features may change, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

9. Availability and changes

Canora is an early-stage product provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and the service may contain errors or be unavailable from time to time.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canora disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of projections. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canora will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its estimates.

11. Termination

You may stop using Canora and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or where required by law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
